An exciting storm passed near our house a few days ago, with over an hour of intense thunder and lightning around 2am. There were so many strikes that the sound of thunder barely ceased in that time. I captured a few minutes of video with my dinky mobile phone camera.
Most of it is the standard silhouetted background with pretty lightning bolt heading to the ground.
More excitingly I also got a few moments where it looked like daytime outside, and reminded me of the Malcolm in the Middle fireworks episode.
It was definitely worth staying up in the middle of the night to see and hear this great display.
